Trainings: Single Session vs. Multi-Session vs. Bulk Creation

A single clear explanation of how these three concepts relate — and which one to use for your class.

Written by Haris K

This is one of the most confusing parts of PadelOS for club admins, because all three terms describe the same underlying thing — a training — just created or packaged differently. This guide breaks down the distinction so you can pick the right approach the first time.

The Building Block: A Training

At the core, every training is the same basic object: a coach-led class with a minimum and maximum number of players, and a date and time. That's it — that's a training.

The only question is: how many sessions does this training have, and how do players buy it?

Single Session Training

A training with just one session — one date, one time. Players see it listed, register, pay, and attend. Once it's done, that training is complete.

Use this for: one-off clinics, trial classes, or a single class you're publishing on its own.

Multi-Session Training (Package)

A training with multiple sessions grouped together into one package — for example, every Friday at 6 PM for six weeks. The key thing to understand: this is still one training, just with six sessions inside it.

Players buy the entire package in one transaction, committing to and paying for all six sessions upfront. They are not buying each Friday separately.

Use this for: structured courses or programmes where you want players to commit to the full series as one purchase.

Bulk Creation (a Creation Tool, Not a Training Type)

This is the part that causes the most confusion: Bulk Creation is not a third type of training — it's a tool that helps you create multiple single session trainings in one go, instead of creating each one manually.

When you use bulk creation, the system generates several independent single-session trainings — each is its own training, published and sold separately. Players can register for one Friday without needing to buy the others.

Use this for: publishing many individual classes quickly, when each one should be independently bookable and priced.

Putting It Together: The Beginners Class Example

Say you want to run a beginners class every Friday at 6 PM for the next six weeks. There are two completely different ways to set this up, depending on what you actually want:

Option A — Six separate, individually-bookable classes

If you want each Friday to be its own class that players can pick and choose from — attend one, skip another, no obligation to do all six — you create a single session training, and use the Bulk Creation tool to generate six of them at once (one per Friday). Each one is published and sold on its own.

Option B — One six-week course, sold as a package

If you want players to commit to and pay for the full six-week course upfront, as one purchase, you create one multi-session training with six sessions inside it (every Friday, 6 PM). Players buy the whole thing in a single transaction.
