Private Lessons allow players to book one-on-one (or small group) coaching sessions directly with a trainer at your club. Unlike fixed trainings where the club publishes a scheduled class, private lessons are driven by trainer availability — players pick a trainer, see their open time slots, and book accordingly.
How Trainers Are Set Up
Before players can book a private lesson with a trainer, three things need to be in place:
1. Private lessons must be enabled for the trainer. Not every trainer at your club needs to offer private lessons. Each trainer has to be individually enabled for this feature before they appear as an option to players.
2. The trainer sets their weekly availability. Trainers define which days and hours they are available for private lessons — for example, Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 6 PM. This availability is set on a day-by-day basis and determines when players can see open slots.
3. The trainer sets their pricing. Trainers define what they charge based on two variables — session duration (e.g. 60, 90, or 120 minutes) and the number of players in the session (e.g. 1 player, 2 players, or 4 players). This means a trainer can charge differently for a solo session versus a session shared between two or four players.
How Players Book
On the player side, the process is straightforward. A player browses available trainers, selects one, and is shown available time slots based on the trainer's availability and court availability at that time. The player picks a slot, selects the session duration and number of players, pays, and the booking is confirmed.
Single Sessions vs. Multi-Session Packages
Trainers can offer players the option to purchase more than one session at a time as a package — for example, a block of 5 sessions, often at a slight discount compared to buying individually.
The way this works is important to understand:
When a player buys a single session, they pick their time slot and it is confirmed immediately.
When a player buys a multi-session package (e.g. 5 sessions), they schedule and pay for the first session at the time of purchase. The remaining sessions are not pre-scheduled — the player books each remaining session later, one at a time, based on the trainer's availability and court availability at that point.
This gives both the player and the trainer flexibility — the player commits to the package upfront, but the schedule is built progressively rather than fixed all at once.
Trainers (or club admins) can also schedule the remaining sessions from the administration side if needed, without requiring the player to do it themselves.
