Open Matches allow players to create and join matches on available courts, with the platform handling court booking and payment automatically. PadelOS supports three types of open matches — Public, Invite, and Super League — each designed for a different context. All three share the same core settings and policies, but differ in who can create them and who can join.
Public Matches
Public matches are fully open to all players on the platform. When a player creates a public match, it appears in the open match listings and any eligible player can find and join it, subject to the rating range set for the match.
Best for: Clubs that want to encourage a social, open community where players can discover new opponents and fill courts easily.
Invite Matches
Invite matches are private. When a player creates an invite match, it is not visible in the general open match listings. Instead, the creator manually selects specific friends or players to invite. Only those invited players can see and join the match.
Best for: Players who want to organise a match with a specific group of friends or regular partners, while still using the platform to handle court booking and split payments automatically.
Super League Matches
Super League is a special type of open match that clubs can restrict to players who are part of a specific league. Unlike public or invite matches which any player can create (if the feature is enabled), Super League matches can be configured so that only league members are eligible to create and join them. This gives clubs a structured, controlled format for ongoing league-style play alongside their regular open match offering.
Best for: Clubs running organized leagues who want to keep competitive league matches separate from casual open or invite matches.
