The Concept
When a player books a court and splits the cost with others, it's possible that one or more of the invited players never pay their share. Debt Collection is the mechanism that protects your club's revenue in this situation, by placing the responsibility for the unpaid amount on the original booker's wallet.
Here's how it works:
A player books a court and invites others to split the payment.
One or more of the invited players don't pay their portion.
Once the booking's scheduled time has passed, the unpaid amount is automatically charged to the original booker's wallet as a negative balance.
Example: A player books a court and invites 3 friends to split the cost evenly. Two of the three friends pay their share, but one never does. After the booking time passes, that one unpaid portion is added as a debt to the original booker's wallet.
The Negative Balance Limit
Clubs control how far a player's wallet is allowed to go into negative balance before action is taken, using the Maximum Negative Balance setting.
For example, if this is set to -€5, a player's wallet can carry debt up to €5 before anything happens. As soon as their balance crosses that limit, their account is locked for new bookings.
What Happens When the Limit Is Crossed
Once a player's wallet debt exceeds the Maximum Negative Balance:
The player is blocked from making new bookings.
The next time they log in, they'll need to top up their wallet to clear the outstanding balance.
The top-up amount is used to settle the existing debt before the player can proceed with any new booking.
This ensures unpaid amounts get recovered, while giving players a clear, simple path to resolve it — top up, and they're immediately unblocked.
How to Configure It
This is controlled from Settings → Policies → Wallet:
Auto Charge for Unpaid Split Bookings: Turn this on to enable the debt collection mechanism described above. Default: Yes
Maximum Negative Balance: Set the threshold at which a player's account gets locked (e.g. -€5, -€100). Default: -100
