Groups let you organise your players into collections you can message and manage together — for a league, a level, a social crew, or anything else specific to your club. There are two ways to build a group, and every group automatically comes with its own chat.
How to Access Groups
You can access Groups from the Marketing section in the left-hand menu, or by going directly to: https://club.padelos.co/marketing/groups
The Two Types of Groups
Custom Groups
With a custom group, you manually add and remove players yourself. You choose exactly who's in the group, and membership only changes when an admin adds or removes someone.
Best for: groups based on things PadelOS can't calculate automatically — a specific team, a social circle, a league roster, VIP members, and so on.
Rating-Based Groups
With a rating-based group, you set a rating range — for example, 1.0 to 2.0 — and PadelOS automatically adds every player whose rating falls within that range.
The powerful part: this group stays up to date on its own. As a player's rating improves or drops, they are automatically added to or removed from the group the moment their rating moves in or out of the set range. There's no manual work involved.
Best for: organising players by skill level — for example, creating separate groups for 1.0–2.0, 2.0–3.0, and 3.0–4.0 players, so each group always reflects who currently belongs there.
This solves a common pain point clubs run into with tools like WhatsApp, where admins have to manually add and remove people from group chats every time someone's level changes. With rating-based groups, that upkeep is handled automatically.
Every Group Gets Its Own Chat
Whenever you create a group — custom or rating-based — PadelOS automatically creates a group chat alongside it.
On the player side, this chat appears under their Messages section, just like any other conversation.
On the admin side, the same chat appears in your Messages module.
This means the moment a group is created, everyone in it — players and admins — can start communicating directly in that shared thread. For rating-based groups, this also means that as players move in and out automatically, the chat membership updates right along with them.
